I’ve been passionate about Software Development and Engineering since I was a teenager.
Right from the beginning I perceived technology not just as a tool to make our life easier but also as a way to motivate people to set higher goals in their real life.
And this excited me the most. To find ways to integrate technology into real life and motivate people to exceed their goals in a seamless, enjoyable way.
This passion has determined my research interests and job selections.
It led me to strengthen my knowledge through research and work experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Gamification and Educational Methods.
Being employed in various different positions helped me to have a better understanding of the software development process by the end customer’s point of view.
As a Chief Operating Officer I’ve been creating processes that are simple to be followed, thus productive and simple to be evaluated. Processes that were aided by technology in order to motivate everyone to be more productive.
The same principle applies to Educational Methods, where as an adjunct lecturer in University and educator in Vocational Education and preUniversity Education, I was creating and using educational methods that motivate students to discover knowledge, learn more efficiently and determine the fields they are passionate for.
I am an inquiry based learning enthusiast and I strongly believe that soft skills development is one of the most important concepts that is missing in today’s Educational System.
I am certified Soft Skill Trainer by Erasmus+ and certified Professional Scrum Master by scrum.org.
I am an active member and volunteer of IEEE currently member of IEEE EAB PreUniversity Education Coordination Committee, Associate Editor of the IEEE Potentials Magazine, member of the Advisory Editorial Board of IEEE The Institute, founder and co-editor of IEEE Region 8 Today and member of IEEE Region 8 Professional and Educational Committee
